IT STARTED FROM LOVE.

A love letter.

In 2016, The Yass Life began as a passion project—rooted in a deep love for travel and a desire to create meaningful experiences. It all started with a simple favor: crafting an itinerary and travel tips for a friend’s Lombok trip. The excitement was real, and we playfully signed it off with #YASS.

“YASS—an exclamation of excitement and enthusiasm—became our empowering slogan. It embodies the spirit of embracing new adventures and cherishing every moment of discovery.”

What started as a small gesture had a big impact—she was overjoyed and fully immersed in an experience I had helped shape. That joy sparked a dream: to create seamless, fun, and unforgettable trips for more people to enjoy. From that moment, I promised myself to pursue that dream.

Turning Passion into Reality

Starting from scratch during our college days, we faced challenges with no external funding or assistance. Determined to make travel our reality, we juggled multiple jobs—teaching Mandarin, designing resumes, and freelancing—to fund our own adventures, gain experience, and build connections.

Then, after countless trips, I took a leap: organizing my first-ever group tour for student exchange participants. I still remember their expressions—awe-struck at Mount Bromo’s sunrise, mesmerized by the sunset at Kalong Island, and enchanted by the Kecak Dance in Bali. Those were moments of pure joy and wonder—moments I wanted to recreate for others, over and over again.

The Yass Life Today: Creating Impactful Journeys

Fast forward six years, and The Yass Life has blossomed into a collaborative team working with reputable vendors and travel experts who share our vision. We are committed to designing journeys that go beyond sightseeing— curating immersive, responsible, and unforgettable experiences.

Our adventure has expanded beyond Indonesia, sharing the magic of travel across Asia. But our purpose remains the same: to inspire, connect, and create joy through meaningful, transformative travel experiences.
